Gracie Blue Martin - Our Little Girl!
by Angela Wilson
Our 70 lbs baby Gracie came to us 10/1/2009 when she was 1 1/2 years old. We, to this day reunite her with her family, mom and dad and 2 brothers and a sister. There are 5 other siblings, but not local enough to visit. We keep Gracie highly socialized with neighbors and company dropping by the house. Our baby girl loves to go for rides and knows when we grab her collar and leash it becomes a big deal just trying to get to the door. And a great outing is the local PetCo. Gracie still doesn't understand the electronic doors!! It's hysterical. We have to pick her up and carry her 70 lbs inside. Once inside tho, she acts like she owns the place. She likes the cookie bar. We've noticed that people either love or are scared of pits. No in between. We had a lady drop to here knees and stick her face right into Gracie's face and another lady stand straight up rigid in fear. Those that fear them, I suggest the book OOGY. Great book about a pit bull that was saved from death and the pit picked his adopted family. Great story. If a human is treated poorly, not feed, hit or beaten and scared they have survival instincts, fight or flight. Dogs are the same. Love your Pit!
