Male pitbull showing aggression
I have a 1 year old male blue nose pit bull, have had him since he was 6 weeks old, just recently he has started to show aggression towards people who just want to pet him! He is super sweet at home been raised with my other 2 dogs that he is so gentle with, what happened??? Gale's Reply: Without more specific information about the form of "aggression" and the circumstances under which it has happened, it's impossible for me to guess what's going on with your dog. One thing I will tell you is that you need to take you take him to a vet and have him thoroughly examined to be sure there's not a physical cause. He may look healthy. But, many illnesses start out being invisible. If there's something going on inside that's causing him physical discomfort, that could explain a lot. Once you've ruled out any physical problem, you may need to consult a behaviorist (your vet may be able to help you find one) or a trainer with behavioral experience. If you have more information to add that might be helpful in determining what is going on with your dog, feel free to post back here.
