My beautiful little girl, Kali

About four years ago, I adopted my pit mix (not sure what she's mixed with) Kali from a no-kill shelter called Paws of Atlanta. Her story was heartbreaking. She was abandoned in a wooded area, pregnant with puppies. She was skin and bones when the shelter found her.

I originally went to the shelter to adopted a puppy I saw on their website. Just so happens the dog I was going to see had kennel cough and I wasn't allowed to see her. I was walking around looking at the older dogs that had been there awhile. She was the happiest of the bunch! Hopping up and down in the fenced off area. It was like she was saying PICK ME PICK ME! And I did!

She's a natural born snuggler, and swears she's one of those little dogs you can fit in your purse. She was a little tough at the beginning, and I'm sure that was because of whatever she had been thru. But once she saw she could trust me, she wasn't as skittish. I love her to death. She's the perfect companion.
