My Foster Fail Annie Oakley
by Katie H
I purchased my first home last June. The boyfriend I purchased the house with would only allow me 2 dogs. Shortly after I bought the house I got a Rott mix puppy (I already had a Toy Fox Terrier). I kicked the ex out. I got my Annie Oakley from a friend of mine, whose "owner" abandoned her and another dog at his house (my parents took the other dog). I was fostering little miss Annie Oakley and I was under the impression she was a dog. Well, I took her to the vet to find out she was 9 months old and 39 pounds (my Rott was 8 months at that time-uh oh-2 puppies?! Eek!).I was going to find her a home once her worms cleared. Well, after about 2 months I still wasn't looking for a home for her. I had fallen in love. She's just hilarious when I get home. I love how excited she gets and how her beautiful face lights up with joy. She is now very spoiled and gets more than enough love!! I have recently discovered she loves swimming so that's very cute to watch her learn. It comes so natural to her because she's part Pointer as well. The only bad thing is that since taking her in, I have had 2 couches torn up. I won't buy a new one until she's past 3 years old (puppyhood)!! We love to snuggle up and watch TV or movies. She is now 14 months old and 50 pounds. And happier than she's ever been!!! As am I!!!! Click here to read or post comments Return to Pitbull pictures archives December 2009 thru June 2010.
