Ogden City Utah Proposed Ban

The city of Ogden, Ut. is planning on eliminating all pit bulls. Owners have to get rid of them or they will terminated. (the dogs). Everyone in your community should send emails with your opinions to this plan.

This was just on the news today, so there might be time to protest.

Pitts are not a bad breed like anyother dog it depends of the owner how the dog is raised pits are loving and very loyal to them pitts are my favorite kind of dogs because they male you feel safe

IF DOGS WERE HUMAN, THIS WOULD BE CONSIDERED RACIST AND POLITICALLY INCORRECT.

THIS IS EXACTLY LIKE LABELING A SPECIFIC ETHNIC GROUP BASED ON A SMALL PERCENTAGE WHO COMMIT CRIMES AND BREAK THE LAW.

I think eliminating the breed in Ogden is ridiculous! Don't punish the breed for PEOPLE'S IGNORANCE! The dog shouldn't haft to lose their lives and family's do to the humans wrong raising!!!! My infants and young children have been around them all their lives and there has never been an issue!

I am definetly not for banning the pit bull, i live in britain where they have already been banned, firstly i will say that in britain when they brought in the pit ban the people who had pit bulls already did not have them taken from them, their pits had to be neuterd, dressed and have a tattoo on them that was before micro chipping was an option so the dogs had to all be registerd, and not able to reproduce and the ban meant that any pit bull born in i tnink the 90s were illegal pit bulls and would be taken and killed, but i cannot get into the banning issue deeply but IF the ban does come in please ask out loud how will they stop the pit bulls being taken under ground and used and abused only for fighting, the ban has been here years & still abused pit bulls turn up, because pits are banned they cannot be seen and cannot be taken to a vet their only saviour is to be put to sleep as life as a banned pit is grose the dogs are not breaking the law the people are very very few get prison time if caught in an under ground pit ring. saint francis of assisi save these dogs Amen.

well im ten years old and i have my own pitbull and he has save my life in so many ways i no wat they can do i understand him and my mom had a pitbull and her om sold it and and the person who got it live next to pitbull haters one day the girl had come home to her house broken in and she look out side and her dog was hung and slash a crosh the tummy and there was a note that said we told you we would get him and kill him.. . . . .and all i have to say is dont blame the breed blame the deed dont ban pitbulls just on a myth

Not that I support it, but what you say here isn't true. THey are trying to do SOME form of BSL. They are not having dogs eliminated but expecting extra from owners. THis will probably still lead to lots of dogs dumped at the pound, but it is not having owners eliminate their dogs.

Hi I live in south ogden and I own pit bulls. I have had my dogs for six years. They have never showed any aggression toward anybody. I am fed up with the "bad" owners who have treated their pits so wrong that they lash out. These type of owners are the reason I have to fight to keep my family pets.

I am so sorry that ppl don't get Educated on this Breed. These can be very luven dogs if you treat them with luv just like any other Breed. Please continue to fight for these Dogs.
