Athena was bought by us from a person selling pit bull puppies. A few of her brothers had the misfortune of going to bad owners, and it breaks my heart, but Athena became our little baby 2 months after she was born (Nov. 31). She is about to turn 2 years old this Nov.

I have to admit that I was extremely hesitant to keep her at first because me and my boyfriend are broke college students, and I could barely take care of myself, let alone a pup, but she managed to steal my heart, and to this day, she still has it, and I know she will never return it to me.

Athena has the talent of stealing sandwiches at the speed of light, professional begging, super fast running, super strong whipping tail, open doors, and of course, she can sit, stay, all that normal stuff :D .

She is terrified of fly swatters, nail polish, forks, swiffer jets, mopping, blow dryers, baths, at one point a watermelon, and I think the thing she is scared of the most is a vacuum.

She also thinks she is 5 lb instead of 80 lb, and she'll simply sit on you if she can't find a soft spot to lay on. She is a Cowboys fan, and we have the bad habit of letting her sleep on the bed.

She will forever be my best friend and companion.
