Rescued Pitbull Puppy

I hope the rescued pitbull puppy will find a home. The couple who saved him really took a chance when they rescued him from a busy street. The person who originally owned the dog should have been searching for him. They could have called the humane society.

People should really try to make sure that their pets are safe in there yard. Pets shouldn't be left outside without being checked on every few minutes. Yards should be checked to make sure that a puppy can't escape through an opening in a fence or a gate. And a dog should have a tag with the owner's phone number in case the dog escapes.

This happened three times in my neighborhood when a beagle kept getting out of his yard. He did have a tag with the owner's number, but evidently they didn't check out their yard to see how he kept getting loose.

It is very sad to lose a pet due to unavoidable causes such as an illness. But carelessness is something different. Pets have feelings and are loyal beings and some are treated like family members.

It is too bad that the rescuers of this puppy couldn't keep him. Maybe the situation has changed and they can adopt the animal.
